Merzbau Design Collective is an architecture firm based in Austin, Texas. We design residential architecture that is modern in spirit, yet responds to the personalities of its owners. We believe that design is a collaborative process, and feel strongly that each project should uniquely respond to the client's program, the building site and its context.

We are proponents of green building, and incorporate sustainable design techniques into every project, whether it's a new home, a remodel or an addition. Our design approach is attuned to the particularities of climate and landscape in Austin, while drawing on experiences working and living in such diverse locations as Tokyo, New York, Paris and San Francisco.

Merzbau Design Collective does some other things too: our experience includes consulting on historic architecture, urban planning, commercial architecture and residential development.
